Set times will vary for every artist who plays at the venue. We recommend arriving at the venue earlier to avoid any disappointment.
Every customer may be requested to provide a valid ID. For this reason, we advise that all customers bring a valid ID.
Fiction is a venue for people to enjoy music without fear of harassment or discrimination. We welcome diversity in our audience and work to create a safe space for everyone present; in return, we ask that you respect these values and each other. If someone is making you feel uncomfortable in any way, please let one of the members of staff know and we will seek to resolve the issue as soon as possible. We also encourage our crowd to look out for one another and to report unacceptable behaviour if it occurs.

Lost property remains on site for a limited period of time before being donated or disposed of. Let us know at lostproperty@fctn.com.au what you’ve lost and we’ll have a look and give you a message.
Yes, coats and bags can be checked into the cloakroom during winter, the price is $5 per ticket.
We accept cash and car (MasterCard and Visa). We do not have ATMs on-site. If tickets do not sell out in advance, they will be sold at the door on the night of the show.
Fiction is a licensed venue and persons under 18 cannot attend shows.
The venue is an underground multi-level space and there are several stairs upon entry. Lift access for wheelchairs is readily available and we can arrange support to these areas if you please contact our support team at contact@fctn.com.au or ask our door staff on arrival for assistance. The venue has wheelchair-accessible toilets.
We have a zero-tolerance policy on drugs. If drugs are found in your possession when entering the club they will be confiscated and passed onto the police. If you are found inside the venue taking drugs, they will be confiscated and you will be asked to leave the premises. If you are found selling or giving out drugs then the police will be called immediately. We advise that you don't leave your drinks unattended and that if you see anyone who looks like they are in need of medical help, that you contact a member of the Fiction team immediately who are trained to provide assistance without judgement.
Any incidents that occur outside of the venue are unfortunately outside of our control, but if you are in a close proximity to the venue, we are happy to assist in any incidents that require external authorities as it’s within our duty of care.
